About Us
Our company was born from a passion for orchids and a desire to take part in the social and economic development of Laos while taking part in the conservation of its unique biodiversity in the world.We created a private company, “Vientiane Orchidées Company,” in response to (1) a study undertaken by the Department of botany of the National University of Laos on gathering illegal orchids and (2) a report about how Laotian orchids are in danger of disappearance.

The Orchid pool of conservation (or conservation ex-situ) was created in collaboration with the national university of Laos and the CIRAD.
Thanks to this orchid parental stock, we can preserve with-less species, and, when that is possible, produce seeds which will allow the laboratory production of great quantities of orchids plants.
